He uses some great chords

It's a good tab book but not quite as detailed on some of the songs as I wanted. Still has some great chords to learn in it though.

Quality, but could be better

Pros:
-Clear and easy to read
-affordable
-rhythms are spot on
Cons:
-Wish there was a CD or a DVD. Sometimes it is hard to tease out each guitar section since there is typically so much going on with a John Mayer song. Also a DVD with some dude explaining parts of John's technique would help a ton. For instance, Heart of Life uses a chuck style which one can't tell how he does it just by looking at the tab.
-It would be nice if this came with chord charts for each song with shapes instead of just Dm or Gsus2. One of the best things about him is the creativity with chord creation and extensions. I suppose they expect you to be an intermediate guitar player to play John Mayer's stuff but still, it would have been nice.
